I am an Afro Caribbean cis-identified woman, because of my own personal journey, I can relate to multiple backgrounds and experiences. I am open to understanding one’s culture.
I work with persons recovering from emotional issues (anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder) and work/major life transitions. My practice includes individual/couple and group psychotherapy for all sexual orientations, gender, racial, and ethnic identities.
I use a mindfulness based and client-centered approach (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-ACT) to my work and consider my clients to be the experts of their own experiences. My areas of specialization include, anxiety/stress/depression, bipolar disorder, intimacy and communication in relationships, and extensive experience working with couples, Veterans, elderly, and active military members.
